Kirkland Lake Gold (NYSE: KL) says that production totaled 164.6K oz. in Q2 and 312.3K oz. for H1, positioning the company to achieve its consolidated production goal for the year of 620K oz.

KL explains that second-quarter production was driven by record quarterly production of 60.5K oz Macbada. and a record monthly production in June at Fosterville of 31.7 K oz.

Total Q2 production was 2.6% higher than the previous year and 10.3% higher than the first quarter; H1 production increased by 7% Y / Y.

Separately, KL says Chief Financial Officer Phil Yee will leave the company on August 1st to take up another management position in the mining industry.
