These hyenas of Kruger National Park were not supposed to make people laugh for the last time after attacking a person twice as small and with many options to call in substitutes.
Amber Soames, a 19-year-old student, filmed sensational footage showing the moments that followed the killing of a wildebeest and the predators that encircled her dead carcbad. At first, things seemed very nice, the lion's share going to … well, the lion.

But then the hyenas had ideas above their stations. They tried to fight with their feline rival, realizing that they had numbers on their side. At least half a dozen creatures were trying to bite the back of the lion and were trying to take a piece of his legs off him.
In scenes not seen since The Lion King, the cornered predator calls for help with his pride – in one minute, two more lions rush to the scene. They accelerated their pace and rushed towards the hyenas who already had confidence in them, scared them.
The drama continues while the hunter becomes the hunted: the group of hyenas (well, it's actually a "cackling" of hyenas, but anyway …) must then do his best to avoid becoming a meal for pride, barely escaping the lions restore the natural balance.

"I became enthusiastic as the suspense grew, I just knew that some sort of drama was going to unfold and I was so ready for it.
