Strongly influenced by the Navigator but more elegant, the Aviator will offer three rows of seats and a choice of six-cylinder engine options coupled with the 10R80 automatic transmission developed jointly with General Motors. In the case of the Explorer and Police Interceptor utilities, the 3.3-liter Ti-VCT is confirmed with and without hybrid badistance.
The high-end engine is the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, which develops 400 horsepower (406 hp) and 400 pounds (542 Nm) of torque in the Continental luxury sedan. Speaking of which, at least two Lincoln models have been described as "worth destroyers" by Bob Shanks, Chief Financial Officer, makes us believe that Continental will be shut down in the near future
Similar to the concept, Lincoln is also expected to introduce a V6 hybrid plug-in option. The Aviator also has another badet: the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, which has created symphonic chimes for scenarios such as when the fuel tank door is open and the seat belt is unhooked.
"Aviator represents the true vision of the Lincoln brand," said design director David Woodhouse. "With such a striking look, we needed sounds that matched the beauty of this vehicle." On a related note, the MKT will continue to be the cheaper alternative than the Aviator, but there is a problem. Ultimately, the MKT will behave like a fleet vehicle.
