The leader of Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema, urged young people to bring fashionable education.
Malema spoke at the June 16 Youth Day celebration at Fort Hare University on Sunday.
Throughout his speech to a packed house, he insisted on the "decolonization" of the education system in South Africa.
"You have to go to school, you have to love education, our people can no longer be run by people without education," Malema said.
He urged young people to bring fashionable education and enroll in TVET colleges and universities to improve their lives, adding that he had not been there. from home for kids where to sit and spend their days doing nothing.

Malema said that when the youth of 1976 took to the streets fighting against the Afrikaans decree published in 1974, she knew that the "colonizer wanted to make a mark of the colonizer".

"The 1976 fight was not just a fight against Afrikaans, it was a struggle for black consciousness, it was a struggle to free the mind.
"[T]They knew that if we allowed the pursuit of the oppression of the black mind, we never allowed ourselves to achieve complete freedom, "he said.
In her address, Malema also addressed the topic of forgiveness, noting that apartheid leaders still had to apologize to South Africans. He accused people of being arrested and, when they were released, they were supposed to forgive and forget "the people who never asked for an apology".
"I want you to give me a speech where [FW] De Klerk says sorry, where [DF] Malan says sorry, where [Pik] Botha says sorry where [Hendrik] Verwoerd said sorry. They never apologized for their crimes. They are not in prison for their crimes. You only forgive those who show remorse and apologize. We will never forgive them until they have apologized, "he said.
