Comparitech published the results of an investigation in which countries pay the most and the least for Netflix, based on the price of their monthly subscription and the amount of content available in their area.
The badysis involved 78 countries, using information from multiple online sources to determine the availability of Netflix content in each country examined.
In the United States, Netflix customers have access to the most titles from all regions, but they do not get the best value for money.
Instead, Canada is actually the country in which consumers pay the lowest average cost per title available on the platform.
The badysis revealed a great disparity between countries by comparing the value of a Netflix subscription in each region, with a difference of nearly 100% between the least profitable and the most profitable countries.
Below you will find the top 10 countries in which a Netflix subscription offers the best value for money.
Local currency subscription prices have been converted to US dollars and compared to the number of securities available to achieve average cost per security.

South Africa vs the world
Compared to countries such as Canada and the United States, South Africa does not have a particularly large content library, with a total of 4,291 titles including 2,792 films and 1,499 television programs.
South Africa, however, has easily the largest Netflix library among all African countries and falls well below average in terms of cost per title.
The minimum monthly subscription to access Netflix content is R $ 99 per month, which is an average cost per security of $ 0.00160 – or a little over 0 R0.02.
Although we have neither the cheapest subscription rates nor the broadest possible content, South Africa offers better value than most other countries.

Cheapest Countries for Netflix
Comparing only the monthly cost of Netflix, Brazil is the cheapest country in the world to watch Netflix, followed closely by Colombia, Mexico and Chile.
South Africa ranks fifth among the cheapest countries in the world for Netflix.
However, the annual cost of Netflix per capita GDP for South Africa is 1.33%, well above the four above average.
Overall, South African users of Netflix are better off than viewers in most other countries, with their subscription costing about 18.5% less than average and a relatively large library of titles.
Denmark wins the world's most expensive country award for Netflix, 36.6% more than the average subscription price.
The other expensive countries for Netflix subscriptions are Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Ireland.
