Novak Djokovic no longer works with Advisor Pepe Imaz

According to a subway article, Djokovic's coach, Marian Vajda, influenced the split with Imaz, who was part of Djokovic's camp from the beginning of Wimbledon 2016

Mainly employed as a spiritual leader known for preaching love and harmony, Imaz was brought to help with the emotional balance in Djokovic's life and career. However, Djokovic failed to win a major contract during the two years that they spent together.

Imaz runs a tennis academy in Spain, but his influence on Djokovic is under surveillance. Popular rumors suggest that Izaz was one of the reasons why Djokovic separated from Boris Becker last December. Djokovic won six of his 13 majors with Becker as coach.

After brief periods with Andre Agbadi and Radek Stepanek as coaches, Djokovic found Vajda this spring after a one year separation. In an article from Dennik Sport, the coach made it clear that he did not want Imaz in the team.

"Yes, I was winding down, even though it was not my number one condition," Vajda said. "I had to personally meet Novak, and then establish specific rules and plans in the coming months."

Djokovic won Wimbledon, his first major title since the end of the Grand Slam in 2016 Open.
