Obsidian Entertainment, developers of Star Wars: The Knights Of The Old Republic 2, Pillars Of Eternity, and Fallout: New Vegas, tease the revelation of their next game at the 2018 Game Awards.
If you go to the Obsidian website, you will be greeted by one of two "announcements" featuring a countdown ending at the time of the Game Awards launch. An advertisement contains advertising text called "Auntie Cleos" and the other "Spacer's Choice". When you click the Ignore button under both ads, a secondary screen is badociated with the previous announcement. The Spacer's Choice screen contains a kind of weapon while Aunt Cleo's advertising takes you to images of beauty and grocery products.
There is no more official information available on this mysterious game yet, but there are some additional details that you should be careful about when trying to guess what Obsidian might be teasing.
First, each advertisement features works of art and "clbadic" jingles that suggest that this game will be at least partially based on the past. It's hard to pinpoint exactly when developers are capturing these ads, but that seems to be somewhere in the '50s and early' 60s. Of course, that seems to imply that it's all about from an alternative version of the timeline of this era that may have some cutting edge technology (similar to the one we saw previously). BioShock and Fall).
In fact, there is more than one reason why you should think Fall when you see these ads. Jason Schreier from Kotaku reports that this project is being developed with the help of two of the FallThe original creators (Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky). When you also consider the fact that Fallout 76 is currently being destroyed by just about everyone, it's not irresponsible to suggest that this game could affect some clbadics Fall concepts.
It will also be interesting to see if this game benefits from the recent Obsidian acquisition of Microsoft. Of course, this partnership may take some time to result in higher budget projects.
