The South African Meteorological Service has warned of precipitation that could lead to flooding Monday in the Western Cape.
However, the service said the potential floods would have "minor impacts", with Cape Metropolis and the mountainous areas of Cape Winelands and Overberg districts experiencing heavy rainfall.
In addition, strong winds are expected Sunday afternoon on the southwestern coast of the province, which could also affect coastal activities, added the meteorological service.
Charlotte Powell, spokesperson for the city of Cape Town on disaster risk management, said she was ready to deal with any incident that may occur due to adverse weather conditions.
A maximum of 14 degrees is expected for Cape Town Monday with 80% chance of rain.
