South Africa sealed its place in the final of the U17 Championships of COSAFA 2018 after a 2-0 win against Mauritius on Friday, July 27, 2018 and, in doing so, to get closer to the continental finals in Tanzania.

Motlhalosi Nare opened the scoring in the second half before the victory was sealed late when Mauritian defender Yohan Dupre put the ball in his own net.

Amajimbos is now waiting for the winner of the second semi-final between 2016 winners from Namibia and Angola to see who they will meet in the final on Sunday, July 29 in Port Louis.

The excellent Nare was named Man of the Match and South Africa is now looking to overcome the recent disappointments of this competition by claiming gold on Sunday.

They finished second in 2016 and fourth in 2017.
