The PlayStation VR was at the heart of the event
Iron Man VR was launched at State of Play, which will allow Marvel fans to play Tony Stark as they eliminate the bad guys in the first person. Space Sim, No Man's Sky, also receives a virtual reality component as part of the free No Man's Sky update: Beyond, scheduled later this summer. We've also received some new gameplay from Ready Set Heroes, a multiplayer dungeon, due out in 2019, and the highly anticipated British title Blood and Truth has a definite release date: May 28th.
Sony has also launched several other VR titles that will be released this year:
- Minimech
- Jupiter and Mars
- Trover saves the universe
- Everyone is Golf VR
- Storyboard
- Holiday Simulator
The stream has deepened several virtual reality games, including Observation, a sci-fi thriller that lets you control a huge space station while discovering the terrifying story of the survivors. The long-time favorite of the streamers, Five Nights at Freddy's, was featured with scary images in virtual reality in the game. And Concrete Genie followed a young artist capable of drawing creatures that will help protect him and to revive an endangered city.
New details on upcoming PlayStation 4 games
PlayStation VR was clearly at the center of this event, but Sony also gave us some additional titles for the consoles, as well as game updates we already knew.
Days Gone got a firm release date on April 26, 2019 and Sony showed new footage of the upcoming title with its first trailer.
Mortal Kombat 11 also had some time in front of the screen, showing Kung Lau, Liu Kang and Jax, adding to the long list of fighters we expect to see – with all the blood and blood that the series has known.
