The Lion King The cast was expanded with a new animal introduced into the realm for the remake.

Variety reports that BoJack Cavalier and Kimmy Schmidt unbreakable The star Amy Sedaris joined the film as a shrew, a small mammal native to Africa and known for its speed, although we do not have a name for his character yet.

The news of the cast follows a huge reception of the first surprise trailer of the reinvention of the animated clbadic of 1994.

It has become Disney's first most-watched trailer ever, having racked up 224.6 million global views online in just 24 hours. It is also the second most watched trailer by a studio of all time. Avengers: Infinity War230 million views in 24 hours.

The trailer focuses on the iconic moment while Rafiki presents the future king, Simba, to the animals of the African savannah. Resuming its role of the original film, the trailer also featured a voice-over of James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

Jon Favreau has badembled an incredible cast for his second remake of Disney, following The jungle Book, like the new stars, Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, among many others.

Sir Elton John and Tim Rice are also back for the remake to rework some of the most important pieces of the original, while Hans Zimmer will mark the film again.

The Lion King will be released in cinemas on July 19, 2019.
