The Los Angeles Auto Show, formerly known as Automobility LA, is becoming increasingly important every year. It may have even stolen the thunder from its northern Detroit counterpart, and this year has been marked by a diversity of international debut.

While "electrification" and "mobility" were the big buzzwords, as in any modern motor show, there still remained some thrills of the traditional sports car, with Porsche revealing its new generation but now highly digitized 911.

Towing an even more traditional line was the Jeep Gladiator, which is the first bakkie of the US 4×4 brand in 26 years.

A new start-up from Detroit, Rivian, showed a more futuristic approach to the double cab, with its perfectly electric and electric case R1T.

A pair of compact, down-to-earth, in the form of the new generation Mazda3 and Kia Soul, also made waves at the show, while the Audi e-tron GT, BMW Vision iNEXT and Volkswagen Buzz Cargo have kept the flag of the concept car.
