Black Friday has proven to be more popular among South Africans with 404,594 online transactions, up 55% from 260,552 in 2017, compared to 176,595 for Cyber ​​Monday, an increase of 36% compared to 129,458 in 2017.

The most expensive transaction for Black Friday was over 6 million rand, while for Cyber ​​Monday it was 5 million rand.

South Africans also began shopping online earlier for Black Friday, with a peak between 8:00 and 9:00, unlike Cyber ​​Monday, which started later between 10:00 and 11:00.

The average number of transactions per minute was 695 for Black Friday. For the day he was 281 per minute. Cyber ​​Monday was less active, with 277 transactions per minute during peak periods and 125 on average per minute for the day.
