Honda in Europe unveiled its new HR-V Sport, inspired by a turbocharged 1.5 liter VTEC petrol engine with chbadis and suspension modifications.

Of course, this four-cylinder engine is also used in the Civic, although in this latest configuration of the HR-V, it generates 134 kW (compared to the 127 kW offered in the Civic specified SA).

Equipped as standard with a six-speed manual transmission, the maximum torque is 240 Nm (between 1,900 and 5,000 rpm), while for the optional CVT transmission, this figure drops to 220 Nm (between 1 700 and 5,500 rpm). r / min).

The HR-V Sport (based on the modified model) is equipped with what Honda describes as a customized "Performance Damper" technology. The damper system is integrated in the front and rear and acts by neutralizing relative lateral and torsional movements through the chbadis. The Japanese firm says that it keeps the car flatter in bends, improves stability during sudden lane changes and reduces vibration on uneven roads.

The steering is also unique, utilizing a variable-ratio power-badisted rack-and-pinion mechanism, complemented by Honda's "Agile Handling Assist" technology.

Exterior styling enhancements include a glossy black chrome panel at the front (which replaces the standard model's dark chrome) and a black honeycomb finish for the front grille, a treatment applied in the contour fog light.

A thin front splitter, side skirts, wheel arch moldings and a more aggressive rear bumper (all finished in black) are also included, as well as black mirror caps, dual exhaust ducts and 18-inch alloy wheels specific to the model.

Inside, you'll find new seats for the driver and front pbadenger, offering "improved support".

While production of the new HR-V Sport is scheduled to begin in December 2018, local availability has not yet been established.
