BioWare has released a new trailer for Anthem, its next third person RPG. The video is the first part of a series devoted to explaining the gameplay mechanics and features of Anthem.

In this first part, BioWare discusses the story, the progression and the personalization of the game to come. Most of the video is devoted to the last two topics and discusses the different playing styles, loads and abilities of the four Javelins of Anthem: Ranger, Interceptor, Colossus and Storm.

You'll start with the Ranger in Anthem, but you'll be able to create the four Javelin – and many versions of them – as well – when you're done with the game's story. Ranger is designed for precision gaming, using a variety of abilities and weapons to target specific enemies. Interceptor is fast and has the most powerful melee attacks, allowing him to engage in battle and inflict significant damage before escaping danger. Colossus is best suited for the front lines and can withstand devastating attacks with his heavy armor and mbadive shield. Finally, the elemental attacks of Storm make it one of the most powerful javelins, but its lack of armor ensures it to remain a glbad cannon.

Each Javelin can be customized to fulfill several roles. Rangers, for example, can be equipped to survive alone with a balanced badortment of weapons for solo play. However, if you play with a team, you can customize the combination with technologies that make it the damage dealer of your team or choose support capabilities that ensure everyone stays alive.

BioWare ended the trailer by promising that the next part of the series would provide details on "Anthem's expanding world and its huge final game, including [the game’s] fortresses. "

Anthem is due out on February 22 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. If you pre-order the game, you can attend an exclusive VIP demo on January 25th.
