The new Porsche 911: everything you need to know

The new Porsche 911 was unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show and shows that the new generation of turbo flat six-cylinder engines has been developed and is more powerful than ever, with a power of 331 kW on the S models.

According to Porsche, forced induction now consumes less fuel thanks to an improved injection process and a new arrangement of turbochargers and the charge air cooling system.

The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission has also been modified.

There is a new support system called "Porsche Wet Mode" to make driving on wet roads even safer, and Night Vision Assist with infrared camera, as well as a complete connectivity – which also uses the Swarm intelligence.

The features of the 911 are complemented by three exclusive digital offerings: the Porsche Road Trip App for Extraordinary Visits, the Porsche 360+ Personal Assistant and the online Porsche Impact Emissions Calculator for the neutralization of your carbon footprint. .

Carrera S models start at 330 kW. The six-cylinder six-cylinder flat of the 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera 4S now produces 331 kW; 911 Carrera S: This corresponds to an increase of 22 kW compared to the previous model.

Both 911 models have pbaded the four-second mark for acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h: the rear-wheel-drive Coupé requires 3.7 seconds and the 911 Carrera 4S AWD only 3.6 seconds.

The maximum speeds are now 308 km / h (911 Carrera S) and 306 km / h for the all-wheel drive version.
