Monaco boss Thierry Henry was badured of the "full support" of the owner of the club's Russian billionaire after winning the first victory.
After registering a point in his first four Ligue 1 games since replacing Leonardo Jardim in October, Henry saw Radamel Falcao score the only goal of the game in Caen on Saturday to give the 2016-17 French champions their first victory since August 11th.
"After a trip to Moscow during which he had several meetings and celebrated his birthday with his family and friends on November 22, Dimitri Rybolovlev came to attend the training session of AS Monaco," said a spokesman.
"He took the opportunity to congratulate them on their victory against Caen, badure them – as well as Thierry Henry – of his full support and share their confidence in the team 's ability and techniques. AS Monaco reverse the situation despite the current difficulties.
The result still leaves Monaco – who finished last season in the final of Paris Saint-Germain – second from the bottom of the table, but there are only two points of safety.
It also shed light on the Principality's club, which recently saw Mr Rybolovlev arrested and released during an investigation into an unspecified case by the Monegasque authorities.
The mogul was at the club Training ground of the Turbie On Sunday, to add weight to the recent statement made to his right-hand man, Vice President Vadim Vasilyev, claiming that Henry is a long-term fix for the Louis II Stadium.
