A Sedgefield store that was selling as a nursery, health center and café had barely opened its doors for the first time Saturday when police closed it after finding food and other products containing cannabis .
The shop on the Garden Route, whose name is known to News24, had announced its opening day and address on its Facebook page, telling a person who had commented that it would start publishing the articles it offered with prices from opening of the store.
He told his subscribers that people were welcome to sign up on a Whatsapp mailing list where they would send menus, promotions and new products on a regular basis.

But that was not to be the case, according to Captain Malcolm Pojie, who would have received information and sent the Outeniqua K-9 (dog unit) to inspect the goods.
"The merchandise included cannabis oils, candies, biscuits / rusks, a white widow, a wedding cake, crossed with Gelato33 and Gorilla biscuits, all containing cannabis," said Pojie.
The products had an estimated market value of 80,000 rand. Officers also confiscated an undisclosed cash amount.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on the spot and would appear in Knysna's court as soon as he would be charged with drug trafficking.
Pojie said eradicating the illegal distribution of drugs remains a priority for the police "despite recent changes to legislation that legalized Dagga's private culture and consumption."
