The Chiefs will compete in the Corn Cup with Chippa United's Free State Stars and Buya Musuthu from the ABC Motsepe League at James Motlatsi Stadium on Saturday.

"I look forward to the Corn Cup," Mahlasela told the club.

"I will be ready and I will do my best, if given the opportunity to play in our match against Buya Msuthu," added the born Sebokeng player.

Mahlasela was injured shortly after joining Chiefs of Bloemfontein Celtic in January who kept him out of the game for the remainder of the season.

"It was difficult, I wanted to show everyone what I could do, and instead I was not there for the rest of the season," said the midfielder.

"It was hard, but everyone was standing behind me, including our supporters whose support was so moral. It is now up to me to repay all these people with my performances on the ground. ", he added.

"It's great to come back in full training with the guys," continued the 27-year-old.

"I want to thank the Kaizer Chiefs fans and club management for all the support that they have brought me over the last few months," concluded the skillful player.
