Local Google Maps guides are already actively using hashtags in their comments. Google suggests users use up to five hashtags per review and place them at the end of the review rather than making a review harder to read by placing it in the aggregate.
Google has quietly deployed hashtags on Google Maps. According to TechCrunch, the ability to add or post hashtags is currently only available on Android devices. There is no word yet when it will be added to the iOS version of Google Maps.

Hashtags provide a quick overview of what to expect from a business. This should make it easy to find the restaurant, bar, club, attraction, etc. perfect. However, it depends on who uses the hashtags responsibly. Which is not guaranteed.
