Watch Party, a feature on Facebook that allows users to share and discuss video content in real time, is being developed on Facebook.

The feature will now be accessible from common Facebook Pages and Profiles, where it was previously only available to groups.

"The page administrators told us that the ability to organize watch parties from their pages would allow them to reach out and engage a wider audience around the videos," says Facebook on his blog.

Watch Party will also include some new features tested by Facebook.

"We are adding the possibility for pages and groups to organize a surveillance party, which increases participation," says the company.

Additional features include threaded comments and live commentary, which make it easy to track conversations and help the host engage with the audience in real time.

Overall, personal profiles on Facebook now also have Watch Party.

"Now all users around the world can start watching parties with friends directly from a video they enjoy or their timeline," the company concludes.
