LCD tablets aren’t exactly the best e-readers out there, but they’re definitely a choice in the market. Businesses are using Android and their reading app and it’s easy as pie. So easy that Barnes & Noble chose to commission Lenovo to produce a successor to its 10-inch Android Nook tablet from 2018.
The press release assures us that the tablet has a 10.1 “IPS display with at least HD resolution, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a 10-hour battery life and weighs just under. ‘one pound (420g). There’s an unnamed octa-core processor that runs up to 2.3GHz to power the Android experience – preloaded with the Nook player app, which is home to over a million of books under $ 5, by the way. It has 32 GB of space on board to store these titles and more space with a microSD card. Further details as if it has USB -C or what version of Android it is using has not yet been announced.
The 2018 Nook tablet had a 1920 x 1200 screen and a micro-USB port. There have been other Nook Android tablets for years.
The new Lenovo-made Nook will be available for purchase at B&N stores and online for $ 130 starting early next month, which will slash Amazon’s Fire HD 10 by $ 20. In other words, one of its saving graces is that it’s one of the cheapest Android tablets you can get with this spec.
