After almost four years, the last ‘Nier: Automata’ secret has been discovered

Almost four years later NieR: Automata was released, a modder discovered the RPG’s latest secret. Lance McDonald spotted an unknown code while reverse-engineering the game. He figured it out was a cheat code that allows players to skip until the end of the game. NieR: Automata.

You can only activate the cheat code at a specific location. After you beat the Prologue boss Marx and talk to 9S, you need to stand between barrels. In a video detailing the cheat, McDonald’s explained how to enter the code on the PS4 version – hold down R2, then press up, down, up, right, left, square, circle, triangle and cross. It may be easier if you pause the game first. If you enter the code correctly, you will be taken to the post-credits scene.
