The DC Police Union criticized elected officials who “won’t let us do our job” following a shooting that left three people injured outside of a Washington Nationals baseball game.
“Welcome to Washington, DC, where violent crime permeates everything,” the union tweeted, with footage showing crowds rushing out of Nationals Park.
DC Police said on Sunday they were looking for a CCTV vehicle fleeing the scene.
Detectives from the DC Metropolitan Police Department’s First District are appealing to the public for information on a gray Toyota Corolla with a missing hubcap on the driver’s side rear wheel and dark tinted windows. Authorities said the vehicle was captured by a nearby surveillance camera fleeing the shooting that broke out around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of South Capitol Street in the southwest.
The vehicle, suspected of displaying a temporary Virginia tag, is wanted “in reference to an assault with a dangerous weapon,” police said. As with other violent crimes, the ministry is offering a reward of $ 10,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Photos and videos posted online Saturday showed players and fans fleeing for safety after gunfire heard from Nationals Park in Washington, DC interrupted the sixth inning of the game against the San Diego Padres.
Outside the stadium on Saturday, police found an adult woman, conscious and breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police were then told of two other adult male victims who were seeking treatment at an area hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
A preliminary investigation determined that individuals inside two separate vehicles were shooting each other outside the stadium. Police said on Saturday evening that one of the vehicles had been apprehended, Fox 5 DC reported.

The Washington Nationals said the shootout occurred late in the sixth inning outside the gate to third base. Team principal Davey Martinez then thanked the fans for behaving admirably by staying calm and helping each other.
