The Rocketts, a duo who competed on ‘AGT’ in 2016 were arrested last week in Farmerville, Louisiana. Siblings Kadan, 15, and Brooklyn, 13, are in the midst of a heated custody battle between their parents.

According to TMZ, Kadan and Brooklyn refused to go live with their mother. They had a very tense standoff with the cops which ultimately led to their arrests. Kadan and Brooklyn’s parents divorced in 2010. There have been lingering tensions in the custody battle from October 2019. A Missouri judge previously ordered them in 2019 to share time living with their two. parents after the duo lived with. their father has been in California for a few years.

The siblings are said to be in Louisiana to attend their grandmother’s funeral at the time of their arrest. TMZ also obtained video of the children being handcuffed as the police took them away. The cop first asked them to get up or they would be arrested. He then grabbed Kadan and arrested him while another cop arrested Brooklyn. They say in the video that they are afraid of their mother, which is why they don’t want to live with her.
Brooklyn even shed tears during the arrest as cops read children their Miranda rights. “You have no choice, there is nothing to complain about. You must accompany us. Let’s go, ”the cop said in the video. Their father, Bart Rockett, stands nearby in the video and said, “I love you guys.” They were taken to the Green Oaks Detention Center in Monroe where they were held overnight and then reunited with their father.
The family posted on Facebook after the incident
“My ‘babies’ are FREE and SAFE !!!! I am not allowed to post court details at this time due to a gag order, but I can tell you they are free and safe !!! (and very, very, very happy and hungry right now !!!!), ”their father posted on Facebook. “Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the prayers and support !!!! We can never say thank you enough. I have tears in my eyes trying to type this. It seems that this long nightmare is just over.
On his own Facebook page, Kadan wrote: “I will write a book someday. Maybe even make a film for life ”after the arrest. Kadan and Brooklyn posed for a photo with their father at the Green Oaks Detention Center, which they also posted on Facebook.
The Rocketts have already participated in AGT
Kadan and Brooklyn once competed on “AGT” with a magical act that Simon Cowell loved. He said they had “a fantastic sense of spectacle.” Howie Mandel applauded the concept of the act and its originality.
