AJ Pollock RBI Single Places Dodgers # 1

LOS ANGELES – After four long months, the Dodgers are back in first place in National League West.

The Dodgers staged a rally in the eighth to come back from behind against the Braves and ensure a series sweep in Wednesday’s 4-3 win at Dodger Stadium. Paired with the Giants’ loss to the Brewers, the Dodgers now have a half-game lead atop the NL West standings.

Despite an early lead with Max Scherzer on the mound as he pitched six scoreless innings, the Dodgers had to attack the Atlanta relievers’ box after Brusdar Graterol gave up a two-run homer in the seventh.

The moment that brought Los Angeles back to first place came with AJ Pollock at home plate and Justin Turner at second base. Pollock grabbed the hole from the shortstop and Turner sped up around the goal, sliding headfirst into the house.
