Welcome to another edition of ‘AL.com Recruiting’ with Simone Eli and Ben Thomas.

And that’s how it was written.

Ranked as the State’s No.1 player for the Class of 2022, we caught up with Alexander at Birmingham Media Days to ask the top hopeful why he ultimately went with Alabama vs. Clemson, how his official visit to Tuscaloosa made a difference and what his goals are for the senior season as the Warriors aim for a third straight 7A State Title.

MORE: Calera WR Kobe Prentice recently disengaged from Maryland … could the Crimson Tide be a major player for the fast receiver? Plus we watch Ben’s latest Top 10 recruits for the 2022 class and why Hewitt-Trussville OT Quick riley chose Tide baseball over football.
