Al Roker gives fans an update on his prostate cancer diagnosis.
The “Today” forecaster announced on the air last week that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and would go under the knife to have his prostate removed.
Although he categorized the disease as “a little aggressive”, Roker, 66, made sure his doctors “caught it early”.

“I am relieved to let you all know that my #prostatecancer surgery is done and back home,” he wrote. “Many thanks to everyone at #josierobertsonsurgerycenter and appreciate all the thoughts and wishes of our viewers and the wonderful care packages from my colleagues.”
Roker concluded: “See you soon.”
When he announced the diagnosis, he said he would “take some time” to focus on treatment.
Along with his update, Roker shared a pair of photos and appeared to be in good health.

In the first photo, Roker donned a face mask and posed with his wife Deborah Roberts, who sported a big smile. The second photo showed the anchor with his son Nick, who was also smiling as Roker raised his thumb.
After the beloved forecaster’s announcement last week, many fans have offered their support. He took to Instagram to share his thanks for this support.
“Oh my God, isn’t this a glorious day or what? Fantastic. And it reminds me that I have to thank each of you for your prayers, your support, your good wishes after announcing on Friday that I am fighting the prostate cancer, ”Roker said on Sunday while walking around a lake.
