Alabama casts shade for Bo Nix over Mac Jones game manager’s comments

Auburn quarterback Bo Nix created an uproar last week when he referred to Alabama quarterback Mac Jones as game director before the Iron Bowl.

Nix’s comments probably weren’t meant to disrespect Jones and the incredible season he’s been having, but the Alabama players didn’t appreciate them nonetheless.

In Alabama’s dominant No.1 42-13 win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday, Jones was clear, completing 18 of 26 passes for 302 yards and five touchdowns.

His game was one of the main reasons the Crimson Tide handled the Tigers with such ease.

Meanwhile, Nix completed 23 of 38 passes for 227 yards and two interceptions.

Jones left no doubt about the Iron Bowl’s best quarterback.

On Monday, Alabama’s official football Twitter account joined in the fun and overshadowed Nix.

Game, set, match.

It was a funny response from Crimson Tide that will likely put this stupid idea to rest.
