Alabama’s recruiting streak throughout July continues, as offensive lineman Alpharetta (Ga.) Kingsland Dayne shor announced his engagement in Alabama. Shor is pledge n ° 14 for Nick saban and Crimson Tide staff, choosing UA over Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.

Shor is the offensive line’s second engagement in Alabama’s 2022 class, joining the four-star tackle Tyler booker who signed up earlier this month. In the final round, the Tide arguably signed the largest offensive line class ever recorded on paper, leading five-star tackles. JC Latham and Tommy Brockermeyer.

A big selling point for Shor (as well as Booker) was the new offensive line coach Doug Brown.

“It’s a big thing for me,” Shor said earlier his year of Marrone’s prowess in the NFL. “He knows what the NFL wants from offensive linemen. Him having the knowledge he has with the O line, I don’t know how much better it can improve. It’s definitely a big bonus for sure.

Shor officially visited the Capstone at the end of June and visited the campus for A-Day on a self-guided tour. Along with those two trips, Shor camped at UA at the start of his freshman season in high school and also did separate practice last month in front of the staff.

“The coaches, the people, the program, the academics, the traditions,” Shor told Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports earlier this year. “The vibe is real and it’s amazing.”

At 6-foot-6 and 295 pounds, Shor is ranked 38th in offensive tackle and 364th nationally, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

With this addition, Alabama remains in third place in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruitment Rankings.
