The SEC Media Days will serve as the unofficial kickoff to the football season this week in Hoover, Alabama, and with the annual event kicking off we have a new Alabama Football Media Guide.

Inside the media guide is an updated list, which includes the latest additions to the team. Some of the more notable changes to the Crimson Tide roster are the inclusion of the 13 summer entries in Alabama’s top-rated 2021 signing class and the Power 5 transfers in Tennessee linebacker Henry To’o To. ‘o and Ohio State wide receiver Jameson Williams.

We already know which jersey numbers To’o To’o (10) and Williams (1) will be wearing now that they’re on the Tuscaloosa, Alabama campus, but we’ve finally learned which numbers the freshmen – and JUCO transfer Khyree Jackson – will carry as new members of the Alabama program.

From a specialist standpoint, punters Jack Martin and James Burnip and long snapper Carter Short have been added to the Crimson Tide roster. Martin is a transfer from Troy, Burnip is an addition from Australia who is listed as a freshman in a red shirt and Short is a freshman from Hoover, Ala. Martin will wear # 95, Burnip will wear # 86 and Short will wear # 52.

There has been no change in numbers since the spring, which saw safety DeMarcco Hellams, who went from No.29 to No.2, quarterback Paul Tyson, from No.15 to No.17, carrier ball Trey Sanders, from No.24 to No.6 and offensive lineman Javion Cohen, from No.57 to No.70.

Wide receiver Xavier Williams was not on the updated roster, but he is not listed in the NCAA transfer portal. Linebacker King Mwikuta, who entered the transfer portal on June 30, is on the list. No other player who entered the portal was on the list.

Alabama will take their turn at the SEC Media Days on Wednesday, July 21, with head coach Nick Saban joined by senior defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis and junior wide receiver John Metchie. Stay tuned to BamaOnLine for continued coverage of Media Days.
