Alan Rickman’s diaries to be published in book form in 2022

According to Guardian, 27 journals written by Alan Rickman will be published in one book in 2022. In case you were hoping for any secret and salacious snippets of the deceased actor’s private life, these will continue to be confined to your feverish imagination. Harry Potter fan fic. Rickman is said to have planned to publish his work, which spans 25 years from the early ’90s, at some point in his life.

Speak Guardian, the dozens of volumes will be edited into a single book, which would cover a wide range of subjects, from politics to theater criticism to behind the scenes creation of the Eight Harry potter films, shot from 2001 to 2011. Rickman would have written until his death in 2016.

“I am delighted that Canongate publishes Alan’s diaries and I could not have wished for a better publishing date than Alan Taylor,” actor’s widow Rima Horton said of the book. “Newspapers don’t just reveal Alan Rickman, the actor, but the real Alan – his sense of humor, keen observation, craftsmanship and dedication to the arts. As for the name, there really is no better way than the title of the volume: Alan Rickman’s Diaries.
