Alaska Airlines may soon ban more than a dozen passengers whose behavior has been deemed “unacceptable” on a recent flight from Washington, DC to Seattle.
An airline spokesperson confirmed that the offending passengers, of whom there were at least 14, refused to wear masks (in line with current Alaska Coronavirus policy) and also harassed members crew during the flight, which took off from Dulles International Airport to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Thursday, KIRO 7 reported.
“We will not tolerate any disruption on board our planes or at any of the airports we serve,” the carrier’s spokesperson said in a statement obtained by the outlet.

Alaska Airlines had also confirmed the potential ban of these passengers from future flights, according to KIRO 7.

Thursday’s incident follows a public announcement by the airline industry of larger changes to current policy following Wednesday’s riots at the U.S. Capitol, in which a crowd broke through the entrance and took storming the building.
