Alaska Airlines, trying to boost ticket sales as the coronavirus pandemic drags on, is bringing back its buy-a-get-a-free offer.

The offer – which must be booked by Monday, September 20 – covers travel between October 5 and December 15, excluding a dozen days around Thanksgiving.

The Seattle-based airline, which focuses on the west coast, said the offer of “BOGO” tickets is good on coach-class flights to more than 120 destinations, including Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize and other vacation hot spots.

Travelers should book through the Alaska website using the discount code BOGOTIME. Unlike Alaska’s BOGO deal a year ago, this one doesn’t come with an empty central seat.

Alaska Airlines BOGO Offer: The Fine Print Before You Buy

As with all airline ticket sales, there is plenty of fine print. Here’s what you need to know:

  • For most destinations, travel is limited to flights departing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, which are slack days for airlines.

  • Trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica and Belize are valid Sunday through Wednesday. Travel from Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica and Belize is valid Tuesday through Friday.

  • Do you travel alone or need to fly on other days? Use the code BOGOTIME to benefit from a 10% discount on other flights booked during the BOGO promotion. The 10% discount is also valid for first class flights.

  • Travel between November 18 and 29 is prohibited. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 25.

  • Ticket buyers must pay taxes on the “free ticket”.

  • The promotion excludes flights operated by Alaska Airlines codeshare partners, including its new west coast partner American Airlines. Flights from regional partners SkyWest and Horizon Air are eligible
