The actor took to Instagram on Wednesday March 3 to share a video in which he explained that he deleted his Twitter account due to the response to his tweet earlier today referring to Gillian anderson “change the accents.” This follows the scandal surrounding his wife Hilaria baldwincultural heritage in light of a Twitter thread that went viral in December.

“I wanted to post a short video to say I disabled my Twitter account today,” Alec said in the new footage.
