It looks like Alec Baldwin is signing out of Twitter.
The Oscar nominee, 62, announced Monday morning that he would be quitting the popular social media app “for now” in the wake of his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s estate scandal.
“Twitter is like a party where everyone is screaming,” the actor wrote. “Not really a party.”
He concluded: “Goodbye for now.”

The post came after a relatively busy morning on the app for former “30 Rock”, which started the day by calling out the recent loss of Congressman Jamie Raskin and son of Sarah Bloom Raskin “unspeakable. “
He also retweeted a handful of news articles and shared a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. before signing.

He also previously addressed the criticisms on Instagram, calling the ordeal “just a lot of crap.”

“You kind of have to make your way through the Twitter debris. Twitter is just a vast orchard of shit, ”he said. “And I certainly threw bullshit in that orchard myself every now and then with things that I said.” So it’s not lost on me that I’m guilty of this too.

Hilaria was called to Twitter last month for ‘pretending’ to be Spanish. It was revealed that she was born and raised in Boston, not Spain, as she hinted at.

She has also been criticized for her occasional Spanish accent, which has fluctuated noticeably over the years when she has made appearances on television. It was also discovered that her real name is “Hillary”.
