COVID-19 Vaccine Information (UPDATE)
The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has determined that the following groups can be vaccinated:
- Health workers
- High risk first responders
- Residents of long-term care facilities
- All people over 65 (NEWLY ADDED)
- All people over 50 who cannot live independently (NEWLY ADDED)
If you are eligible, you can find the nearest vaccinator at: doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/Immunization/VaccineLocations. Whether over the phone or online, you may experience long wait times in trying to schedule your appointment. Please be patient. Vaccines may be scarce now, but we expect that will change soon.
City of Seattle’s Free COVID-19 Test
- the City of Seattle, King County, and UW Medicine offer free COVID-19 testing for people who live, work, or visit Seattle regularly. Drive-in and walk-in tests are available. You must first register online or by phone. Although the test is free, if you have medical insurance, please bring your insurance card or proof of insurance. Linguistic interpretation is available. Seattle City Hygiene, Toilet and Shower Facilities plan
- The City of Seattle has done a thorough accounting of all available sanitation resources funded by the city. The Hygiene Card of the Department of Human Services includes all open locations and will be updated weekly.
Seattle Protects (access to fabric covers)
Seattle Hospitality Worker Emergency Relief Fund (UPDATED)
- the City of Seattle partnered with Wellspring Family Services to provide one-time cash assistance to help meet the basic needs of hospitality workers affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The application deadline has been extended until February 15, 2021. To find out more and apply, visit: hospitality.wellspringfs.org.
Federal support for small businesses renewed
A new federal stimulus package was enacted on December 27, 2020, the main changes include:
Small businesses that need help applying PPP, Pardon PPP, HE, or the Subsidies to operators of closed sites can contact the Seattle Economic Development Office for FREE technical assistance by calling (206) 684-8090 or by mail [email protected].
