Alex Ovechkin left the first period of the Capitals’ final preseason game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.
Ovechkin threw a heavy blow at Flyers forward Travis Konecny in the attacking zone, but fell onto the ice in pain in favor of his left leg.

Ovechkin got up on his own but hobbled out of the ice. He left the game at 10:18 of the first period.
Capitals PR says Ovi is not coming back.
