Alex Rodriguez joked about his single status in a segment featuring a look back at his relationship with Cameron Diaz.
The 46-year-old celebrity made the offhand remark Thursday amid his coverage of the American League Divisional Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox for FOX Sports.

Burkhardt said, “These Rays are so cold. Nelson Cruz said, “I could use popcorn.” So he bought some popcorn for his buddy, then he started to eat it during the game.
Burkhardt continued, “This isn’t the first time people have eaten popcorn in the middle of the game,” before a comeback clip of Rodriguez being fed popcorn by ex Diaz as the couple watched the Super Bowl 2010.
The three-time baseball MVP replied, “KB, maybe that’s why I’m single,” in the cheerful chat.
Rodriguez, a former New York Yankees, Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, was recently in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez, 52, but the celebrity couple broke off their engagement last April.

The former baseball player, who is the father of daughters Natasha, 16, and Ella, 13, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, remained optimistic as he reflected on the relationship during an August conversation with Entertainment Tonight .
“I have had five years of an amazing life and partnership and also with my daughters we have learned so much,” Rodriguez said. “And now we have the opportunity to take that and go ahead and say, ‘You know what?
“We are so grateful for the past five years, how can we improve the next five years with the lessons learned? “
Rodriguez said he was “in a great place” with everything in the aftermath of the split.
“I’m so grateful for where God and the light have really put me, and I can’t wait,” he said. “Especially to see how my daughters continue to develop. ”
Rodriguez was recently in a romance with Jennifer Lopez, 52, but the celebrity couple broke off their engagement last April.

The former couple released a joint statement upon their separation.
“We have realized that we are better as friends and can’t wait to stay that way,” the couple said. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our common activities and projects. We wish each other and our children the best.
“Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who sent in kind words and support.”
Lopez, who is the mother of twins Emme and Max, 13, with ex Marc Anthony, has since rekindled her relationship with Ben Affleck.
