Jennifer Lopez sang at the Joe Biden inauguration and her fiance – former MLB All-Star Alex Rodriguez – had a good old time with her.
Rodriguez documented his day on Instagram, which began with a video of his seat on the Capitol and a selfie wearing a suit to match his former team’s uniform.
“Stripes for life,” the former Yankee wrote.
He then posted a photo of himself and J-Lo on the steps of the Capitol, captioned “2021,” with hearts and an emoji of the American flag.
A-Rod was filmed several times at the opening, and social media had fun pointing out the strangeness of seeing him on stage on such a momentous occasion.
“At least once a year I host a national event and a cane will kind of be there for some reason, fulfilling its destiny as baseball’s forrest gump,” wrote ESPN’s Joon Lee.
