Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez puts her political mark behind a socialist streaming service to launch.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., released Thursday night a video by Means TV, which describes itself as "an on-demand anti-capitalist digital streaming platform launched at the end of 2019." The group's website describes how it is preparing to become "an anti-capitalist media institution together", featuring "your favorite influencers, comedians, writers, organizers and left-wing voices".

Ocasio-Cortez plugged the video with his own commentary on the evils of the capitalist system.

"How do young people, whose wages are fixed, the cost of living, soar, suffer increased social instability from bigotry, drug addiction, violence, should they live shorter lives than Did previous men dare to question the larger economic forces? she tweeted.

The video itself featured actress Sara June sarcastically explaining how capitalism works and how to succeed.

"Another beautiful day under capitalism, the most powerful and functional economic system that has ever existed," begins the clip, before June spits a sip of a cup of coffee.

"Under capitalism, there are two ways to make money and you absolutely have to make money. If you are lucky, you have something like an apple farm or a glue factory. That makes you the owner class. If you have nothing, you are part of the working class and you earn money selling your work. You sell your workforce until you retire. Sorry, let's resume that. You sell your work pretty much until you die.

The clip concludes with the line: "In conclusion, capitalism is a fun and effective way of consolidating all the resources of the world under the control of a small group of extremely wealthy people at the expense of all others."
