Actress Clueless was emotional when nine-year-old Bear – whom she has with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki – decided he wanted to ‘try something new’ with his locks.
The actress would be very supportive of his decision, although she has a “ feeling ” that he will decide to let her hair grow again.
A fresh start: Alicia Silverstone shared a video of her nine-year-old son Bear, previously having his hair cut to his waist on Sunday.
On Sunday, the actress shared a video of Bear getting her hair cut to Instagram and wrote, “ Yep, that’s right. Bear cut his hair !! My baby is growing.
“I miss her hair !!!!! Was it his decision? Yes. Did I cry inside watching him get cut? Maybe… but did I try to stop it? Not for a second. The reason he chose to keep it for as long as he did was because he loved it so much !!!
“ Although I have a feeling he will find a way to get his long hair back in the future.
“ Either way, I will always support my sweet, caring and precious little boy in every decision he makes. (Sic) ”

In the clip, Bear admitted he was “ nervous ” to make the change.

She then asked if he was nervous at all, and Bear admitted, “Yes, very.
But the youngster also said he felt ‘so excited’ that two stylists were working on his hair.

Bear’s haircut came two months after the 44-year-old actress revealed that her son had been bullied because of his flowing hair.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Once other kids made fun of my son for his hair on a bus ride to the surf camp.
‘After coming back and telling me I thought he would want to cut it on a haircut appointment we had already scheduled the next day but when we got there he said : “Please give me a cut so I can grow it to my size.”
‘He’s my boy! He knows who he is. He loves his hair and chooses to have it long. Mom and Dad aren’t going to stop him from being him. He is beautiful and we love his hair! ”
