All New Fortnite Volcano Event Files Disclosed Added to V8.51 Update

The event at Fortnite has not yet taken place and other audio and mesh files have been leaked by the v8.51 update for the Volcano event.

The v8.51 content update brought the ghost bomb to Fortnite Battle Royale and some bugfixes were also made. This update did not require any downtime and so we thought that new files would not be added. However, data processing companies have leaked some files related to the upcoming event. It seems that there are two events, the Volcano event and the Unvaulting / Loot Lake event. Here's what we know about the Volcano event.

Yesterday, the fifth and final rune needed to structure Loot Lake was seen on the volcano, but it seems that there was a problem with the rune because it was visible near Salty Springs before returning to the volcano today. The players had noticed that they were able to make volcano lava by feeding it with ammunition and equipment. This also seems to be the way the rune will be activated at Loot Lake, like the other four previous runes. All these runes have been activated in different ways and you can see how each of them has been activated here.

Data-miner has leaked the new event sound files added to the v8.51 update today and you can listen to the volcano sounds below.

It seems that the volcano will explode and destroy the buildings of Tilted Towers and Retail Row. You can see here the destroyed buildings for these two PIs that were disclosed in the previous update. HYPEX has also found new meshes suggesting that the eruption of the volcano will also affect the iceberg, as can be seen below.

Another file leaked by HYPEX seems to indicate that something will leak from the volcano and it seems likely that it will be lava, but the file name is "SM_Snow_Code_02".

All of these files were leaked from Fortnite files. However, Epic has not confirmed anything about when this event will take place or what it will entail. This event will likely be related to the Loot Lake / Unvaulting event, but this has not been officially confirmed.
