The reign of terror of the king of the night finally ended abruptly in episode 3 of season 8 of Game of thrones. Watching Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) the final shot was one of the biggest ups and downs of the season, although some fans are convinced that the biggest surprises are yet to come. Here are all the signs that Game of thrones will end with an epic battle between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
Jon and Daenerys join forces to defeat Cersei
After the Battle of Winterfell, Jon and Daenerys will now turn to
their attention to Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), who held up to
at King's Landing. The trailer of the upcoming episode shows Daenerys and Jon
gathering support and promising to destroy Cersei once and for all. Their
armies, however, were decimated after the battle with the king of the night and they
will need all possible help for the upcoming battle.

After the events of "The Long Night", Jon and
Daenerys no longer holds the advantage over Cersei. But even if in one way or another
defeat Cersei and win the iron throne, the odds that the show ends on a
happy note are improbable. According to Decider,
some fans are convinced that once Cersei is killed, Jon and Daenerys will turn
the one against the other – and only one of them will come out alive.
Jon Snow is the true heir to the iron throne
Jon's claim to the throne is the reason why some fans believe that he will be leading Westeros at the end of season 8. Before the Battle of Winterfell, Jon had told Daenerys that his father was actually Rhaegar Targaryen, which makes him, not Daenerys, the next throne. Daenerys did not catch the news well, although we could not see his full reaction because of the arrival of the Night King.
Although Jon can give up his birthright, it is impossible for Daenerys to do the same for him. After all, she has spent her entire life trying to win the Iron Throne and thinks her destiny is to lead Westeros and restore the Targaryen dynasty.
In an ideal scenario, Jon ignores the fact that he is the rightful heir and gives his full support to Daenerys. The only problem with this result is that the residents of Westeros are more likely to lean behind Jon.
Not only is he the true heir to the iron throne, but he is already massively followed in the north. Daenerys is also still considered an outsider and many people do not appreciate the idea of another Targaryen in power in Westeros.
Daenerys is making enemies in Season 8 of Game of thrones
The combination of forces with Daenerys may have saved the day, but the
Mother of Dragons has already made a lot of enemies in Westeros. To begin,
Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) made it clear that she was not ready to blindly
follow Daenerys.
In the second episode, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", Sansa worried about how Daenerys will manage the northern kingdom and asked if he would retain his autonomy.
Jon's best friend Samwell Tarley (John Bradley) is not a fan of Daenerys after learning that he had burned his father and brother.
Jon may have made his first move against Daenerys
One of the most disconcerting moments of the Battle of Winterfell was the decision to charge the Dothraki to charge the king's forces of the night. Within minutes, all the Dothraki were killed, leaving fans wondering if they could have been used more effectively.
But there is also a theory that Jon deliberately slaughtered the Dothraki so he would not have to fight them later.
That said, kill the Dothraki at the beginning of the
the battle would have been a huge bet on Jon's part and could easily have lost
they fight him. The Dothraki would also have been a valuable resource in the
coming battle with Cersei.
Not to mention that intentionally murdering thousands is going
against the character and moral sense of Jon. Again, maybe Jon's newfound
the desire to sit on the iron throne obscures his judgment.
