Yes, it's called Comic-Con, but these days, the biggest news of the annual convention is not usually that of comics. It is a film and television inspired by comics (or at least influenced). Things are changing though. Ten years ago, movies dominated SDCC. Five years ago, television began to take over. Now it's a mix that's more about television and focuses on streaming content. As time goes on, we are going to release what we consider to be the most interesting film, television and streaming panels of San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
Terminator: Dark Fate
The films are in the minority this year, but Comic-Con begins with an intriguing movie panel on Thursday morning. We assume that Paramount brings Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis and the rest of the distribution of this direct suite of Terminator 2: the day of judgment. The first trailer did not attract much attention, but that's what this group will do.
When: Thursday, July 18th from 11am to 12pm, Hall H
An open letter to everyone who goes to Comic-Con

Its dark materials
After a lukewarm response to the 2007 big-screen adaptation, Phillip Pullman's iconic series is on screen with the BBC and HBO. With a second season already established, they may have succeeded this time. We have already seen a small preview, but a large panel of Room H will certainly reveal much more, especially with the entire cast.
When: Thursday, July 18th from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm, Hall H
Rick and Morty
A few months ago, fans were not even sure that the team behind this very popular cartoon for Adult Swim would make a fourth season. Well, they did it and they chose Comic-Con to reveal more to the world.
When: Friday July 19th from 1pm to 2:45 pm, Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront
Steven Universe
A Steven Universe the panel is awesome in itself. This is one of our favorite shows here on io9. This year however, the panel will focus on the mysterious Steven Universe movie. Expect details on the plot, a trailer and much more.

The Witcher: an original Netflix series
Superman returns to Comic-Con. Only this time, Henry Cavill will not have a giant "S" on his chest, he will have long hair and a broad sword. Few approaches have been seen on this much awaited fantasy adaptation (except for the images) but on Friday, July 19th, it will not fail to change.
When: Friday, July 19th from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm, Hall H
The boys
It was a long trip for comics The boys– written by Garth Ennis and co-created, designed and illustrated by Darick Robertson – which has almost become a film of The presenter Adam McKay. But now, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have helped turn the tale of vigilantes who shoot corrupt superheroes in what looks like a crazy, violent, streaming show. The show will debut the following week, so maybe they'll watch a huge piece.
When: Friday, July 19th from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Ballroom 20
The dark crystal: the age of the resistance
Netflix has, and continues to do, some wild and random stuff with the original programming – and bringing back The dark crystal like a prequel TV show is just up there. Like some of the other properties here, we've already watched some footage, but in a show like this, there are surely a lot of treasures to discover.
When: Friday July 19th from 3.30 pm to 5.15 pm, Hall H
Carnival Row
Any show with a steampunk aesthetic that builds a new world mixing fantastic creatures and human beings will not fail to spark our interest. Add Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne and, well, we are now fascinated. The next Amazon show already has a short teaser. So expect a strange and cool full trailer that will debut at the panel.
When: Friday, July 19th from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm, Ballroom 20
Game of thrones
Game of thrones It's over, but the team and the actors come back to Comic-Con one last time to make a call to the curtain. However, after the extremely polarizing reaction to the last season, will there be a debate or celebration? We are not sure and can not wait to find out.
When: Friday July 19th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Hall H
Horror show
We did not see much of Shudder's next series of anthologies based on the 1982 film Stephen King / George A. Romero, but with a stacked cast (Giancarlo Esposito, Tricia Helfer, Adrienne Barbeau, etc.) and The dead who walkGreg Nicotero at the helm, this panel should let the world know how bad things are going to be.
When: Friday, July 19 from 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm, Room 6BCF
Preacher
AMC Preacher Comic-Con has generally been used to present shocking images of his upcoming season – and now, with the latest episode on the horizon, we would not be surprised if the team behind this humorous adaptation becomes biblical.
When: Friday July 19th from 7pm to 8pm, Hall H
Batwoman
Buzz was extremely solid for the upcoming CW show with Ruby Rose in the role of Caped Crusader, and now she's going to make her debut in Comic-Con with a preview of the first episode and enough time for fans to put her on Questions.
When: Saturday, July 20th from 10:30 to 11:45, ballroom 20
Enter the Star Trek Universe
Although there is no Star Trek upcoming film, this panel is proof that fans should not worry about it. Not only the casting of Star Trek: Discovery to be on the spot but Star Trek: Picard will be exposed as well as more information about the animated film Lower bridges. Do you even need movies when you end up facing such a small screen?
When: Saturday, July 20, from 11:30 to 13:00, Hall H
The right place
It's like being in the wrong place knowing The right placee is coming to an end. But fans will have their first hints on what the future holds for the awful (and hilarious) characters of this panel on the upcoming season finale.
When: Saturday, July 20, 2019 12:00 – 12:50, Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront

When: Saturday, July 20th from 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm, Hall H
Snowdrop
Yep. This incredible 2013 Chris Evans movie about the train that surrounds the world with the poor at the back and the rich on the front gets its own TV show on TBS. Apart from the actors and the team, we know very little about adaptation, but, we guess you have already seen a motive, it will change the Comic-Con.

The comic-con will not miss any news this year, but Marvel's 90-minute return to the Mecca of pop culture after a short absence could spell the death knell. President Kevin Feige is expected to shoot the films in Phase Four (Black Widow, The Eternals, etc.) public and official for the first time, which means casting, filmmakers, release dates, and we are sure of surprises. It's going to be wild.
When: Saturday, July 20th from 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm, Hall H
Insights from the DC Universe series
