Gamescom officially opened its doors on August 20, but several publishers and platform owners have already organized events detailing their software offerings, and sometimes even software distributing surprises. As a result, several new games are now available for download and playback on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Yakuza 3 (Part of the Yakuza collection)
Sega announced that Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5 will be coming to the PlayStation 4 as part of the Yakuza collection. Better yet, the Yakuza 3 remaster is available now, with the last two games to follow. Each game has improved location, performance, and some cut contents have been reintroduced.
Miami Hotline and Superhot on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has dedicated its Gamescom presentation to the Indians, including some beloved games available for Switch currently. These include the Superhot shooter and the brutal Hotline Miami games. Superhot and the Hotline Miami collection, which includes both Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2, are now available.
Erica on PlayStation 4
The live-action interactive thriller Erica was announced in 2017, but has remained virtually silent ever since. It is now available on PlayStation 4 and is playable with a PS4 controller or with a dedicated application on iOS or Android. You can solve puzzles and make choices that will affect the orientation of the story.
A new series of Xbox Game Pass games
The Xbox has dedicated part of its Inside Xbox presentation to the announcement of upcoming games for its Game Pass service, including a handful already available. These include Age of Empires: Final Edition for PC, Devil May Cry 5 for Xbox One and Stellaris for both platforms. Even more things will happen by the end of the week, like Ape Out for PC and Kingdom Come: Deliverance for PC and Xbox One is expected for August 22nd.
Call of Duty: Alpha Test of Modern War on PS4
Although the game is not yet available in its entirety, Activision has announced that a special alpha test, exclusive to the PS4, for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will soon take place. The alpha will begin on August 23 and will be free for all players, even if you do not have a PS Plus subscription. The alpha test is limited to the new Gunfight 2v2 mode, on five cards.
