BOISE, Idaho – This weekend, 80,000 country music fans are packing Albertsons Stadium for two nights to see Garth Brooks perform on the Blue Track as part of his Stadium Tour series. With so many people attending concerts, where is what you need to know about driving and parking at the concert.
Both Boise State University and the Boise Police Department have developed guides on how to get to the concert safely and quickly.
One option for the spectators is to park their car in the city center and take one of the free shuttles to and from the concert. The shuttle will start at 15:00. and it will last every 15 minutes until one hour after the concert. The shuttle will pick up passengers at the following locations:
- 6th street and Grove
- 8th and main street
- 8th between Idaho and Bannock Streets
- 8th and wide streets
- River Street between 12th and Ash Streets
In addition to a free shuttle, people can also take a ride to get to the concert. Euclid Avenue will be closed between University Drive and Belmont Street on Fridays and Saturdays to be used as drop off area for Lyft and Uber.

"It's very popular these days, so people will leave Uber and Lyft from home and be right in front of the concert," said Lt. Michael Ruffalo of the Boise Police Department.
There are also people like Shannon Lind, who will go to the concert and park at her friend's place of work because she is nearby.
"We are many to carpool and we work in the event sector," she said. "We will take advantage of the parking spaces of our employees and go to the show."
Not everyone works as close to the concert as Lind and his group of friends. For example, other people will have to park on site if they have paid in advance for a location, take the downtown shuttle, or park in a side street or neighborhood.
The police will patrol the area on the day of the concerts, watching parked vehicles that break the law. The following list is not allowed under the Boise City Code:
- Within 30 feet of a stop sign or road sign;
- Within 20 feet of a marked or unmarked crosswalk at an intersection;
- Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant;
- On a sidewalk;
- On a yellow or red border "no parking".
Penalties include a ticket that may result in a $ 60 fine, or the vehicle may be towed.
People will be allowed to park in some city parks on Fridays and Saturdays. These parks are Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, Fallen Idaho Firefighters Memorial Park and Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park.
Parking will be available on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm. in the above parks, on a first-come, first-served basis. Cars must be removed by 10 am the next morning.
University Avenue will be closed on Broadway Avenue the day of the event both days. Police announced it would close the street around noon. Then, approximately 45 minutes to one hour before the end of the show, Broadway will be closed between Myrtle and Beacon streets in both directions to allow people leaving the concert to cross the street safely.
The doors open at 5 pm and the show starts at 7 pm
