Allison Janney co-star apparently struggled to kiss the Oscar-winning actress.
The “Mom” star, who appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday, revealed that a mystery scene partner once asked her to apply Neosporin to her lips before filming a kiss scene.
Antibiotic ointment is used to reduce the risk of infections caused by minor injuries to the skin.
“Even before COVID, I had a stage partner I had to kiss with, and he was so germaphobic, he would put Neosporin on his lips and ask me to put it on mine too, before kissing me,” Recalled at 61.

Janney, who declined to reveal the identity of her co-star, admitted that she was unsure whether Neosporin would actually stop germs from spreading or not.
“I took it very personally,” she says. “Where does he think I put my mouth?” It pissed me off a little bit, but, you know, people are germaphobes.
Janney clarified that the co-star in question was not Howie Mandel. “America’s Got Talent” judge has spoken publicly about obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as mysophobia, a pathological fear of germs and contamination, Page Six reported.
“You might think so, but no, it wasn’t Howie Mandel,” Janney said. “I won’t say who it was.”

Janney revealed that the cast and crew of “Mom” are regularly tested for coronavirus to continue filming the CBS sitcom.
“I’m tested almost seven to eight times a week depending on whether I’m going to do kissing scenes or not,” she says.
