Alyssa Milano and her uncle were involved in a car accident after suffering a possible heart attack while driving.
The former “Charmed” star sat in the passenger seat as his Uncle Mitchell drove on a Los Angeles freeway Tuesday morning when he suffered a medical problem and became unconscious, Entertainment Tonight reported, citing a statement from California Highway Patrol press.
Milano’s uncle was driving a Ford SUV when he drifted into another lane, collided with another vehicle and “started having an unknown medical problem (possible heart attack),” according to the report.
“With the help of a Good Samaritan, they were able to stop the Ford between tracks # 1 and # 2,” the statement added.
Two units from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived and began CPR on Milano’s uncle, who was then taken to hospital. The report notes that Milano, 48, was picked up by her husband, David Bugliari.
Page Six has contacted CHP for the press release.
Representatives for Milan did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Police sources told TMZ, which first reported news of the crash, that the “Hall Pass” actress reached out and used her hand to brake. When the car stopped, she reportedly gave her uncle CPR until first responders arrived.
It looks like Milano made it back unscathed, as she then tweeted about learning CPR and keeping loved ones safe.
“We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love. To get vaccinated. Wear masks. Close your weapons. Learn CPR ”, she wrote. “Small actions of common sense. It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it’s important.
