Amanda Kloots, widow of former Broadway star Nick Cordero, speaks up after a troll tried to berate her for dating too “quickly” after losing her husband.

Nick Cordero died at age 41 after a 95-day battle with COVID in July 2020.

Kloots shared as a host on The speech she has just started going out again.

She said:

“My two husbands, I met them doing shows on Broadway. We first became friends, then we got married. Obviously, with Nick, we had a child.”

“I never had a date with me.”

“I just started dating again and it’s so crazy first dating at 39.”

“And it’s pretty terrifying and really out of your element, and it’s just hard. It’s hard.”

When asked how the meetings were going, she replied:

“Everything is wonderful. These are wonderful people that I meet, and it has been a great process so far.”

“But I’ll just say it’s very difficult without going into too much detail.”

Earlier this month, she paid tribute to Cordero on the anniversary of his death.

However, on a post shared recently, someone left a critical comment.

“I’m already in a relationship. Wow, that was quick.”

Kloots called the commentator on his Instagram story:

“How dare you judge someone in particular someone who is going through this process.”

“I’ll cover this soon guys, I promise you.” “

“There is too much to say and too much for widows to face not to mention.”

“Until then, I’ll call anyone rude enough to comment like that.”

Many people shared their support for her decision to go out again.

Kloots also shared her Instagram Live video she made with writer and widower Brandon Janous, where they shared their dating experiences after a loss.

Amanda Kloots said:

“This is not a boat we asked to be in. It is not a boat we wanted to be in.”

“But here we are. We are now in this boat.”

“We can either take this boat on our own for the rest of our lives or try to find someone to row with us.”

“And yet we are getting criticism and judgment for trying to find someone to row the boat with.”

“Is it right?”

Kloots also said that when she saw this “ignorant negativity” in her comments, she felt like she had to speak up for the community of widowers who try to navigate this world without the person they love.
